Abx 2mm Alubutyl

Our Alubutyl features strong surface adhesion and no bitumen odor. We've improved the quality in several key areas:

1. Our ABX is odorless and self-adhesive.

2. Thanks to its material composition and high weight of 3.5 kg/m², it surpasses all comparable products in stickiness and sound insulation.

3. The edges do not stick together because the aluminum and silicone paper overlap.

4. Both ends are also protected against sticking. The roll is packed in plastic film and a cardboard box. The ratio between aluminum and butyl thickness has proven to be optimal.

5. Application is possible from as low as 5°C (41°F).

Dimensions: 0.4 x 5.0 meters = 2 m², thickness: 2 mm. Weight per square meter: approx. 3.5 kg.

2 m² are sufficient for 2 car doors and often enough for additional smaller rattling areas.

For optimal adhesion, we recommend preparing the surface as follows:

1. Ensure it is free from dust, oil, and grease.

2. Slightly roughen water-repellent surfaces (lotus effect).

3. Improve initial adhesion by warming to 20–40°C. Alubutyl and ISO composite mats should be stored for one day at 15–30°C before application.

4. Press Alubutyl firmly with a wallpaper roller. ISO mats should be pressed down firmly by hand.

Please wear protective gloves during handling, as the rigid foil can have sharp edges.
DV-10i and Alubutyl are not approved by any car manufacturer for use in the engine compartment.
Therefore, in case of damage, insurance companies may refuse to cover the cost.
