L-3, braided OFC from 8 x 0.75 to 2 x 3.0 mm², the total diameter of all strands is 1 cm.
The L-3 speaker cable is made of high-purity copper strands. The braiding technique reduces sound-degrading influences such as electrostatic charging and lowers inductance, which particularly improves treble reproduction.

The 0.12 mm pure OFC copper strands (OFC, short for Oxygen Free Copper with a purity of > 99.99%) have the lowest electrical resistance and the numbered conductors are variable:
8 x 0.75 to 2 x 3.0 mm²

 


Low-inductance speaker cables
The most problematic characteristic of loudspeaker cables is their inductance. This acts as a low-pass filter and therefore attenuates the highest frequencies. With the L-3, Reckhorn offers a cable consistently optimized for low inductance, suitable for both external and internal loudspeaker wiring. This optimization is achieved through a braided construction of eight individually insulated conductors, each with a cross-section of 0.75 mm².
