Our latest concept offers optimal sheet metal vibration damping plus heat/cold insulation. First, the double-sided, highly adhesive butyl film is applied, which conforms even to small curves.
It adheres because it has no internal tension. This dampens the sound of the sheet metal and provides seamless protection against moisture. The rubber foam is then pressed firmly onto it with stronger adhesion than
In other designs, rubber films with direct adhesive coatings detach at problem areas, causing condensation to form on the bare metal, leading to corrosion. Our butyl film guarantees 100% protection of the metal against moisture. The technical specifications correspond to our ISO-20 composite film (link to ISO-20-12).

Processing:
The surface must be clean and free of grease/oil. For sheets with water-repellent paint (lotus effect), adhesion is improved by lightly sanding them.
After removing the white protective layer, the film is pressed down lengthwise in the middle and then smoothed outwards to minimize bubbles. Any bubbles can be punctured with a sharp cutter and pressed down.
Applying high pressure improves adhesion. After removing the grey protective layer, the rubber film is pressed down as firmly as possible.
