The design concept is patented in Germany under Nr. 10 2006 024 054 and registered with the European Patent Department and patent offices of the US, Japan and China. The primary patent features are the mono construction of the speaker chassis (basket) and the wide radiation pattern of the bass-midrange. Instead of using complicated design methods in controlling common speaker housing and crossover problems, this speaker avoids these by its design concept. The coaxial design principle provides the desired point source effect and high sound quality without having to depend on complicated design methods as mentioned above. The extreme wide radiation pattern of the bass midrange is the result of the concave design of the cone. It is similar to that of the fabric dome tweeter. The C-190 may be used as a full range speaker, satellite, or centre speaker. It also lends itself for in-wall installation.

Speaker components were produced using tools and equipment specifically selected with no restriction on cost for materials.
– The frame is constructed of cast aluminum providing a minimum of acustical resistance.
– The Bass-Mid range speaker cone is manufactured of air dried cellulose material and equipped with a rubber suspension surround.
– 7 asymmetrically aligned re-enforcement strips are integrated in the cone material to provide additional damping.
– 38 mm glassfibre voice coil with 250 degree heat insulation of the coil winding and fixing cement.
– Neodym magnet N 38 SH, and copper-plated poleplate pieces including shorting bridge
– 28 mm textile dome tweeter of German high end production utilizing a perforated aluminum voice coil of 250 degree heat tolerance and low viscosity ferrofluid.
– Tweeter neodym magnet N 38 SH with copper plated pole pieces and integrated damping materials in the chassis.
